When Olivia contacted me in the early summer to shoot her September wedding I was a bit cautious given the fact I was expecting my 5th baby within 7 weeks. However, I’m so glad I took the chance of shooting this wedding which was by all means stunning, down to earth and my total cup of tea.
The day started at Olivia’s mums house, who as a mum of 8 herself, made me feel totally at home. Olivia with the help of her sisters sorted her own hair but the makeup artist was Lauren Eddy, at Tiger Eye studio in Scunthorpe. The dress which were sophisticated and glam was from wed2b (their Rotherham store) and bridesmaid dresses were all from ASOS.
The wedding theme was in Olivia’s words “chic garden party” using sequins and fairy lights to bring a real fairytale element to the garden with lots of flowers (her sister runs The Arbour, Steep Hill Lincoln) with the marquee was Mudford marquees.
On planning her wedding, ‘be organised, leaving things to the last minute just makes you stressed and ruins the build up! But mostly enjoy the experience, have fun planning and don’t sweat the small stuff!’
The wedding itself took place at Our Lady of Lincoln, it was a beautiful service.
The groom and grooms men looked amazing in their green Next suits.
The guests enjoyed a scrumptious mixture of canapés, pizza and salads and gorgeous desserts by Salted Orange food
There were so many special touches at the wedding reception, I loved the glitter confetti as the gorgeous coupled entered the marquee, and again during first dance and the amazing sparkler finish after the sun had gone down on what was a fantastic day.
