Couples often ask me if they really need an engagement photo shoot?
The true purpose of this shoot is a ‘getting to know you exercise.’
I’m well aware that wedding photography is a huge investment. So it’s important that I get to know you before your big day so I can understand how you work as a couple. Some couples are very loving in public and other couples hate the spot light. Some grooms suffer with flinching when they hear my shutter click and sometimes they naturally blink or squint in sunlight. Now all of these are things I like to know in advance so I can be sure to have the camera settings right and so I can make you as comfortable you can be for any formal wedding photography moments. After your wedding I can’t redo the photos so this is a nice practice run.
Most of all its nice to have something to keep which celebrates the fact you are getting married and you can share your engagement image of choice on your save the date cards or in a wedding signing frame.
